OBJECT PRONOUNS
About Lesson

While subject pronouns perform actions, object pronouns receive them. The easiest way to know when to use an object pronoun is to look at its position in the sentence. They always appear in two specific places:

  1. After an Action Verb:

    • Example: I called him yesterday. (The pronoun him comes after the verb called).

    • Example: She loves them. (The pronoun them comes after the verb loves).

  2. After a Preposition (words like with, for, to, at, about, from):

    • Example: This present is for her (not for she).

    • Example: Are you coming with us? (not with we).
