OBJECT PRONOUNS
About Lesson

Why do we need object pronouns? To stop sounding like robots! In natural English, we use object pronouns to replace names, people, or things that we have already mentioned so our conversations flow smoothly.

  • Repetitive (Robot English): “I love my new car. I wash my new car every Sunday, and I drive my new car to work.”

  • Fluid (Natural English): “I love my new car. I wash it every Sunday, and I drive it to work.”

  • Repetitive: “Do you know Mr. Smith? I saw Mr. Smith at the supermarket.”

  • Fluid: “Do you know Mr. Smith? I saw him at the supermarket.”
