REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS
About Lesson

Reflexive pronouns change their ending depending on whether we are talking about one person/thing (singular) or multiple people/things (plural).

  • Singular Forms (Ending in -self):

    • I → myself

    • You (one person) → yourself

    • He → himself

    • She → herself

    • It → itself

  • Plural Forms (Ending in -selves):

    • We → ourselves

    • You (a group of people) → yourselves

    • They → themselves

Grammar Trap: Words like “hisself” or “themself” do not exist in standard English. Always use himself and themselves.
